QUESTIONS
Short answers first. Where a detail depends on the aircraft or the day, your advisor confirms it.
Cost and booking
How much does a private jet charter in Australia cost?
A private jet charter in Australia is priced for the whole flight, not per seat. Light jets cost less than super-midsize, heavy or ultra-long-range aircraft. Positioning, airports, crew time and extras such as catering are added. Your advisor confirms the quote for your dates.
Two planning benchmarks are published. Sydney ⇄ Melbourne on a Light Jet is from $18,500 AUD. Sydney ⇄ Singapore on a Heavy Jet is from $145,000 AUD. They are samples for those trips, not fares for other routes, and not a price you can pay on this website.
What affects the cost of a private jet charter?
The category of aircraft, the hours flown, positioning, landing and handling, permits, crew overnight costs, and extras such as catering or a car. A peak date can change availability as well as price.
There is no full rate card on this site. The two published benchmarks are Sydney–Melbourne on a light jet and Sydney–Singapore on a heavy jet. Every other route is quoted for that trip.
How far in advance should I book a private jet?
Many charters are arranged a few days to a few weeks ahead. A same-week departure is sometimes possible when an aircraft and crew are free, and a peak date needs longer. Nothing on this site is a guaranteed notice period.
A dedicated aviation advisor responds within one business hour. Concierge hours are Mon – Fri: 08:30 – 17:30. Saturday & Sunday: by appointment. VIP Elite, Corporate Partner and Family Office are membership accounts with their own coordination. An aircraft is still confirmed for each trip.
How do I charter a private jet?
Share the cities, dates and passengers. MY PRIVATE JET asks independent certified operators for an aircraft. You receive a quote. If you accept it, and the operator accepts the flight, that is the booking.
The form on this website is the enquiry, not the contract. The operator flies the aircraft. We coordinate the details you asked for around that flight.
What happens after I enquire about a charter?
Your enquiry goes to flymeaway@myprivatejet.com.au. A dedicated aviation advisor responds within one business hour.
Mon – Fri: 08:30 – 17:30. Saturday & Sunday: by appointment. The form does not create a booking, a contract of carriage, or an allocation of an aircraft. A price is an estimate until a formal quote confirms it.
Can I buy a jet card or a seat online?
No. This website is an introduction, not a checkout.
Membership accounts are pre-funded by an initial deposit or corporate invoice. Flight and catering charges are drawn from the live balance. Your concierge confirms the private tariff and suitability in confidence. The member portal for balances and billing is not yet available. To discuss a tier, use the enquiry form or email flymeaway@myprivatejet.com.au.
Aircraft and where you can fly
How many passengers can each private jet category carry?
The published capacities are up to 8 passengers on a Light Jet, up to 10 on a Super-Midsize Jet, up to 16 on a Heavy Jet, and up to 19 on an Ultra Long-Range Flagship.
The enquiry form also groups parties as 1–2, 3–6, 7–12 or 13+. The category that suits a flight depends on the route as well as the headcount. Your advisor confirms the aircraft. Photography on this site is representative and does not imply ownership of a specific airframe.
Which aircraft can I charter in Australia?
The charter categories published here are Light Jet (Embraer Phenom 300E / Citation CJ3+), Super-Midsize Jet (Bombardier Challenger 350 / Praetor 600), Heavy Jet (Dassault Falcon 7X / 900) and Ultra Long-Range Flagship (Gulfstream G650ER / Global 7500).
Light jets are described for regional Australian domestic routes and quick hops. Super-midsize jets are described for Trans-Tasman, Fiji and coast-to-coast flights. Heavy jets are described for direct Asia-Pacific routes with multi-zone comfort. Ultra long-range flagships are described for non-stop global transcontinental flying. Availability is subject to confirmation.
Where can MY PRIVATE JET fly from Australia?
The home market is Australia. Priority corridors beyond it are China, Singapore, Japan and Dubai. The aircraft comes from an independent operator, matched to the distance.
Light jets suit shorter Australian sectors. Super-midsize jets are described for coast-to-coast, Trans-Tasman and Fiji. Heavy jets are described for Asia-Pacific. Ultra-long-range aircraft are described for the longest intercontinental sectors. Routing is confirmed for each trip.
Is MY PRIVATE JET the operator of the flight?
No. MY PRIVATE JET is a charter broker and concierge. We do not own or operate aircraft. Every flight is operated by an independent operator, who has operational control.
In Australia the operator holds a CASA Air Operator’s Certificate. Outside Australia the operator holds the equivalent approval. The crew on the day work for the operator.
Do you offer empty leg flights in Australia?
Empty Leg can be requested as a trip type when you enquire.
This site does not publish a live empty-leg inventory, a fixed discount, or guaranteed seats. An empty leg, in ordinary charter language, is a positioning sector an operator may already be flying. Your aviation advisor confirms whether a suitable flight exists for your dates and route. One Way, Return and Multi-Leg remain the other published trip types.
Sydney and the day of travel
Which airports in Sydney can a private jet use?
The site names direct airside vehicle-to-stair transfers at Sydney Mascot (YSSY) and Bankstown (YSBK), and at international hubs.
The Sydney desk is about 25 minutes' drive from Sydney Airport, at Level 17, 400 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000. Which airport suits a particular flight is confirmed with the itinerary. Airports outside Sydney are not listed on this website; your advisor confirms them.
Where is the MY PRIVATE JET desk in Sydney?
The published Sydney address is The Executive Centre 400 George, Level 17, 400 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia.
Sydney Airport (approx. 25 min drive). Enquiries can also be sent to flymeaway@myprivatejet.com.au or by phone on +61 2 9258 1869. A Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast or Perth office is not published on this site. Charter for those cities is arranged through the same concierge.
Is in-flight catering included on a private jet charter?
Catering is not a set public menu. It can be arranged on request, subject to the operator and the aircraft.
Dining and mixology are coordinated around the flight. Family Office membership lists caviar service and mixology among its inclusions. VIP Elite includes AETHER inflight dining access. Mark catering on the form if you want it. It can change the quote. Cabin crew on the day belong to the operator.
Are airport transfers included?
Ground coordination — VIP transfers and airport handling arranged around your flight — is a published service.
VIP Elite membership includes complimentary airside chauffeur transfers. The experience described on this site also includes direct airside vehicle-to-stair transfers at Sydney Mascot (YSSY), Bankstown (YSBK) and international hubs. Ask for ground transfer on the enquiry form if you want it coordinated for a particular trip.
Can I bring a pet on a private jet charter?
A pet can be requested. It cannot be assumed. Australia’s biosecurity rules are strict, and the operator decides whether the animal can travel on that aircraft.
Mention the animal, the breed and the route in your notes. Carriage is confirmed before travel, together with any permit the destination requires. Do not arrive with a pet that has not been accepted.

How do you approach safety and operators?
MY PRIVATE JET does not operate the aircraft. Flights are flown by independent operators. In Australia that is a holder of a current CASA Air Operator’s Certificate. Outside Australia, the operator holds the equivalent approval for that flight.
We do not publish an operator list, an audit badge or a safety score, and we do not claim ARGUS, Wyvern or IS-BAO. Ask the advisor who the operator is before you confirm. The go or no-go on the day belongs to the crew.
What is a CASA Air Operator’s Certificate?
In Australia, an Air Operator’s Certificate is the approval from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority under which an operator flies. The certificate covers the operator, not the broker who arranged the trip.
MY PRIVATE JET does not hold itself out as the certificate holder. If you want the operator’s name before you travel, ask your advisor.
